Revenue is expected to show an annual growth rate of 18.3%, resulting in a projected market volume of $6,610M by 2024. Now, one of the best ways to participate in this massively growing industry is through dropshipping, and that’s what we are going to talk about today, dropshipping in the Philippines.

For sure you might already have some idea about how dropshipping business works, it just that you wanted to know how you can do it here in the Philippines, right?

I have crafted this article for you guys with lots of research behind, so just spend some time here and I will guarantee that you will get something here.

What is Dropshipping?

Dropshipping is a retail fulfillment method in which the retailer (you) does not keep goods in stock. But instead, you just need to create your own online store (or any forms/ways of acquiring customers) and transfer your customer’s orders and shipment details to either the manufacturer, another retailer, or a wholesaler, who then ships the goods directly to your customers.

Managing inventories is a headache, you need massive numbers of employees to get this kind of job done properly. And that is what most people love about Dropshipping business because you no longer have to do your own inventories with Dropshipping.

Aside from that, you don’t need a huge capital to get started with Dropshipping, so that means its a low-risk business model that you can jump in to.

And of course, there are also some disadvantages with Dropshipping, some people say less profit, poor customer support but for me, it always matters how skillful you are and how you are going to do the business.

Lots of people who are doing dropshipping businesses are still making a ton of money, especially with the western market.

Skills You Need To Run Dropshipping Business

It’s not going to be just about the beauty of this business model, you need to have skills for you to become successful just like any other businesses. Here are the skills that you need to have in doing Dropshipping business:

1. Creating Online Store Or Sales Funnel

You need to learn how to create your own online store or sales funnel where you are going to send your customers and have them buy whatever the items that you are going to sell. It could be through an eCom software like Shopify store (the most popular), you can also have sales funnel using a tool like Clickfunnels, WordPress with WooCommerce or any software that will help set up a page to accept buyers.

And the good thing about learning these skills is that there’s a lot of free step by step tutorials on YouTube on how you are going to this, all that going to takes is really just your willingness to learn.

2. Product Research

Since we’re talking about the Philippine market, one of the easiest ways to do product research here is through the top popular online stores like Shopee and Lazada. What you need to do is just go to their website and see what is the most popular item that is selling like crazy and get ideas out what you are going to see there.

3. Marketing Skills – Acquiring Customers

Marketing is the most important factor in any business, and for sure you’re definitely aware of that. It’s where the real deal happens, even you have the most beautiful store on the planet and have the greatest products listed on it, but if you can’t have customers to buy it then there will be no business at all.

With the Dropshipping business, one of the most popular ways to get/acquire customers is through Facebook Ads. You can also try influencer marketing like influencers from Instagram or Tiktok, or if you want long term you can also search engine optimization (eCom SEO) at the same time.

The good thing about learning marketing skills is that there’s a lot of available free videos on YouTube that will walk you through the whole process, just search for it. And once you learned it, you can have those skills in your whole life and use it to any businesses that you are going to have in the future.

But yeah, of course, I mentioned that I did research about potential suppliers for dropshipping here in the Philippines, so I got below potential companies that can have your dropshipping products. Just do some more research on each of them, and make sure to negotiate whatever needs to be negotiated.

There are many options of Softwares and platforms you can use to have your own online store set up for dropshipping, but the most popular and the easiest way to build one is through Shopify.

One of the easiest ways to get customers with Dropshipping business is through Facebook marketing or running Facebook Ads.
