1. eCommerce Business In The Philippines

eCommerce refers to the buying and selling of goods or services using the internet, and the transfer of money and data to execute these transactions, also often used to refer to a sale of physical products online, but it can also describe to any kind of commercial transactions that are done through the internet.

The short relatable definition would be, eCommerce is selling any type of goods or items where transactions are done with help of the internet.

According to Statista, eCommerce growth in the Philippines is expected to hit 46.5% by 2024 in terms of user penetration. Revenue is expected to show an annual growth rate of 18.3%, resulting in a projected market volume of $6,610M by 2024. Massive right?

Another data from the research done by Hootsuite, their research reveals that 71% (76 million) of the country’s total population of 107.3 million people are active Internet users. Out of that number, 70% have purchased a product or service online in the past months.

eCommerce in the Philippines is one of the most massively growing industries, like the majority of consumers are now buying stuff online especially these recent days. But the question is, how are you going to participate with the 10,0000 pesos capital you have right now? Well, here’s how.

A. Selling Products Through Top eCommerce Companies In The Philippines

Just in case you don’t know… The majority of the products of the most popular eCommerce websites here in the Philippines like Lazada and Shopee are from independent sellers, persons just like you. And for our example here to make everything clear, let’s focus Lazada as our example.

One of the best ways to easily hop in and start your eCommerce business in the Philippines is by selling with the country’s top eCommerce websites, like Lazada. All you need to do is get products from a supplier (from websites like Alibaba.com) have it listed to Lazada’s website and Lazada will do all the marketing for you.

[ Click Here ] to open the detailed guide on how you can get started selling on Lazada and if you prefer to start your business with Shopee, you can also check their seller’s guide through [ Clicking Here ]

The best thing about starting a business with Lazada or Shopee is that you no longer have to do all the marketing, they have millions of visitors every single month and all of them are potential customers, see the picture below.

The picture above is just a data alone from Google search Philippines, the number of average searches every single month about Lazada. Don’t forget that they also have a mobile app with millions of users too.

Now imagine just maybe making a sale for at least 5,000 to 10,000 pieces of items.

But of course, before getting started you should also not forget to think about the product (do some product research) to sell that’s already working on the market. Start surfing around this website [ Alibaba.com ] and start with the 10k capital you have right now.

B. Start eCommerce Business With Your Own Online Store

Launching your own eCommerce store is also one of the best ways to start an eCommerce business. If you’re thinking about building your own brand, in the long run, having your own online store is going to be the first requirement. The good news is, you can also combine it with the first option I have above “Selling Products Through Top eCommerce Companies” while growing your brand.

The downside of running your own eCommerce store is you need to learn a massive marketing skill, like running social media advertisements, examples like Facebook Ads, Influencer marketing, etc.

But also the good side of having your own store is you have control of everything, and the ability to build your own brand. Because, if you decided to directly start selling on Lazada or Shopee, you need to also comply with all their terms and conditions, and you as a seller could easily get banned if you will not act in accordance with their seller’s standards and conditions. But so far, I haven’t heard anyone yet that gets banned from those platforms.

If you wanted to start your own eCommerce store, you can use an eCommerce platform like Shopify to have your own eCommerce website set up. And lucky for you, I also have a free video tutorial on how to build a Shopify store, just [ Click Here ] to watch it.

C. Dropshipping Business In The Philippines

Another way to start an eCommerce business here in the Philippines is through Dropshipping, it’s also one of the most popular ways to start an eCommerce business anywhere in the world, and yeah you can also do it here in the Philippines.

But since I have a separate blog post about it, I’m just gonna insert that blogpost below about Dropshipping on how you can do it here in the Philippines.

2. Start A Blogging Business

I personally consider blogging as one of the best small business you can start doing, the internet industry in the Philippines is still on its way reaching the maximum peak and that’s what we are going to ride on.

start a blog

Lots of people, even the majority of my friends think that blogging or starting your own website is going to be the hardest thing that they might do in their whole life. They thought that they need to be an IT expert (have the ability to code) whatsoever, which is completely not true.

Yeah, it’s actually true that you need to have programming skills to build a website, but it’s true 10 to 15 years ago. But not these days, because today, you can build a website as easy as cooking fried eggs.

In fact, I have a free step by step tutorial where you can watch through Clicking Here ] and it will walk you through the whole process of how you can create your own website or a blog.

Some of you might be started to think right now that blogging is not going to be for you because maybe, you don’t how to write, or whatever excuses you have in mind right now (let me know in the comments). But I want to let you know that, that’s one of my excuses too.

I have not finished any college education and I doubted myself if I can do writing just like what I have here, but here it is, you’re reading it. Yeah! I admit I’m not really good at writing, I even used tools like Grammarly just to help me construct my sentences.

It really just needs some desire and reasons why you need to do it, any skills that you need can be learned along the way as long as you have that burning desire to get started.

And with blogging, there are many ways to make money out of it and it’s a long term business. Aside from that, here in the Philippines blogging is one of the least taken business opportunities, so it’s not that crowded yet. Hop in, and let’s make some noise!!

How Much Does It Cost To Start A Blog In The Philippines?

You can start a blog in the Philippines with just P1,500.00 – P5,000.00 pesos, it depends on what web services like website hosting and the domain name that you are going to have for you’re website or blog. The duration of your subscription will also affect, the more years you’ll subscribe the more money you need to get started.

But with the tutorial that I have right here [ Click Here ]you’re P1,500.00 will be more than enough to have to create your very first own website or a blog.

And by the way, you might get confused about the difference between a blog and a website. “Website” is the term used majority for a business internet presence (like a company website), a “Blog” on the other side is more into content, just like what I have here.

Here’s How To Earn Money By Blogging In The Philippines

Here are the ways on how to earn money through blogging specifically here in the Philippines. I’m going to share every knowledge that I know about each of the options.

But as usual, if you have questions, don’t hesitate to leave it in the comment section at the bottom of this page.

earn money blogging in the philippines

I’m just going to give you some quick ideas about each of the ways that I have below, so if you really wanted to know every detail you need, like the process on how you can do it yourself, I’ll be linking you to other useful pages. Or you can just search tutorials on YouTube and there’s a lot o free guides there.

1. Display Advertisements

Selling ad space on a blog is one of the most popular ways to earn money from a blog. I know for sure you’ve noticed that I have lots of them here on this page, and yeah! I’m making money out of it. Even if you’re just seeing it and do nothing I’m still earning, and I will earn more money once you clicked it.

Google AdSense from Google is one of the best and most popular platforms you can join into once you already have a blog, they can help you earn money from your blog by allowing them to display ads on your content, all you just need to do is insert some code on your blog from them, and they will display targeted ads to whoever reads your articles.

2. Affiliate Marketing In The Philippines

Affiliate marketing is my favorite way to earn money from my blog. In fact, I’m earning more money with affiliate marketing compared to the advertisements that I have here.

Affiliate marketing simply means being affiliated to some programs like the Shopee Affiliate Program that will enable you to promote any products they have on their website and earn a percentage of commission every successful purchase from a customer that you have referred to using your unique affiliate link.

I have a detailed blog post about affiliate marketing of how you can do it here in the Philippines, embedded blog post below. ⬇️⬇️

Here’s how affiliate marketing works with blogging, I’m going to give a scenario here.

Let’s just say someone is searching on Google about a cellphone called “Huawei Nova 7i”, and then you have an article on your blog about it, you did your best to optimize your content, so your article shows up on the top of search results.

And then that particular person who’s searching about “Huawei Nova 7i” landed on your blog post where your affiliate links are placed, that person clicks the link, buy the item, and boom you make a commission.

The best thing about affiliate marketing is you will be earning even while you’re sleeping, (passive income) you’ll just have to really have your article ranks on search engines like from Google search results. I’m going to also share some ideas about this later, on how you can do it.

3. Offering Services

If you will start a blog, you will learn lots of skills that you can also offer as your services to whoever visited your blog.

Skills like building a website (I even do this myself, charging people if they wanted me to build a blog/website for them) or you can also offer other services even if it’s not related to blogging.

Maybe services like creating a logo, social media marketing like managing Facebook Advertisements, or whatever ever skills that you know that you can potentially offer to your blog visitors.

4. Selling Your Own Product

Another way to earn money from your blog is by selling your own product, it could be a tangible product or a downloadable file like eBooks.

I personally do this option too, reselling some website tools and you’ll find it once you watch that video tutorial of mine about how to start a blog, and I’m earning money passively out of it too.

There are actually lots of other ways to earn money with blogging, it would take us a whole day if I’m going to share each of them here. You’ll just have to get started, that’s the real deal right now. Start your blog today, watch this free tutorial I have here, just Click Here ] to watch it.

I think that’s all I have for you guys today, the bottom line is that you really need to take action and always consider having a passion or the love of what you do. If you are not happy with what you have right now, like the job you have, I have this line for you “gusto mong may bago? simple lang, gawa ka rin ng bago”.

Thank you so much for hanging out, I’m so happy to have you here. If you have something like a question or suggestion whatsoever, just leave it in the comment box below.
